The Men's A team found themselves without top average player Peter Mullaney who unfortunately was taken into hospital. After a nervy start they lost the first leg 6-5 but soon rallied to win the second leg 7-4. The visitors again hit back in the third with another 6-5 win to trail 17-16 into the final leg. Then it seemed the home side fell away badly to lose the next six games, but somehow put in a terrific fight back to win the final five frames for an incredible 22 all draw. James Hammond was again in top form winning his four frames.

The B team were in top form, and taking the first leg 8-3 they were never in any doubt who would win the match. After winning the second leg 7-4 they wrapped the match up in the third leg with a 9-2, and a final leg 6-5 saw them to a comfortable 30-14 victory.

The Ladies match, with the visitors two players short, took a similar line to the B match but went one better with a 31-13 win. Sally Burgess and captain Lynne Pinches were both unbeaten.

The Youth team, with several players still trying to establish themselves, edged the first leg 6-5. The visitors levelled at the end of the second, then went 17-16 ahead into the final leg, and maintained their advantage with a 7-4 leg win to take the match 24-20.
