Norfolk v Essex - March 2008
Norfolk excel against Essex
Norfolk entertained Essex at Attleborough Snooker Centre and came out on top in all four sections.

The Men's A were up against last years champions and soon found themselves 7-4 down after the first leg. Norfolk gradually came back into the match, winning the second and third legs 6-5 to trail by the odd frame into the final leg. The home team put the pressure on by taking five of the first six frames to lead 21-18. Essex then won the next three, but Carl Clack and captain Martin Wood won the final two frames to win the match 23-21. |

The Men's B also proved very close, with Norfolk winning the first leg 6-5 only for the visitors to reverse the score in the second. The home team went into the lead with a 7-4 third leg win and then repeated that score in the final leg for a fairly comfortable 25-19 victory. |

The Ladies, who were up against probably the weakest team in the league, were surprised they only managed to take the first leg 6-5 - but then outclassed their opponents in the second 10-1. They secured victory in the third leg with a 7-4 win and added the same score in the fourth for an easy 30-14 win. Lynne Pinches, Karen Halliday and Dawn Arnett were all unbeaten. |

The Youth team, with some new players in the squad, proved much too strong for their opponents winning the first leg 7-4. They went one better in the second leg and followed this with two more 7-4 legs to win 29-15. Alex Lewis, Michael Lodge and Jay Bullent all won 4-0. |
